What stays in your browser
Your Dream garage, your comparison selection and a random browser id are stored in your browser's local storage. They are not cookies and are not sent anywhere except as described below. Clearing site data removes them.
What we store on our server
- Dream garage counts: when you save an item, we store a one-way hash of your random browser id, the item and the time, so the public count can go up and down without counting you twice. We cannot turn the hash back into the id.
- Spam limits: a code derived from your network address and a secret that changes every day, kept for two days, used only to limit how often a network can save items or send suggestions. Your address itself is not stored.
- Suggestions: the fields you fill in, the page you sent it from, the time and the daily network code. Suggestions are visible only to editors and are never published as you wrote them.
Usage statistics
If you allow it when asked, we load Google Analytics, which sets cookies and sends Google information about your visit (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser) so we can see which pages are useful. If you decline, it is not loaded. Your choice is kept in this browser; . Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy .
We use no advertising. Our host, Cloudflare, processes requests to deliver the site.
